How accurate are Smarty tests?
We process every Smarty kit at the same accredited reference labs your veterinary clinic uses for the panels they send out. The microscopy, ELISA and PCR pipelines are identical. Every report is reviewed by a licensed veterinarian before release.
What if my pet hates being handled?
That's the entire reason Smarty exists. Most kits use a sample your pet leaves naturally — no carrier, no leash, no waiting room. Stool collection takes under a minute and our urine and swab kits are designed for the most reluctant patients.
Can I add Giardia or the PCR upgrade after I order?
Yes. Every Vetted Pet Parasite Test is upgrade-ready. Scan the QR code inside the box, pick the Giardia ELISA add-on or the comprehensive PCR panel at activation, and we'll run the additional assays from the same sample.
Is the comprehensive PCR really better than the base test?
It's more sensitive and broader. The PCR upgrade detects 20 parasites, flags dewormer resistance markers, and reports zoonotic transmission risk to people in the household. We recommend it for all cats, breeders, multi-pet homes, and households with young kids or immune-suppressed family members.
Can I test more than one pet?
